A Tale of Two Sally's

A celebration of pastel and watercolor art at the
Good Purpose Gallery in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. The exhibition will be on display from May 16th to July 11th, 2023, with a reception to meet and greet the artists on Friday, June 16th, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at 40 Main St Lee, Massachusetts 01238.

This exhibition features the work of two talented artists, Sally Lebwohl a pastel artist and Sally Tiska Rice displaying her watercolor works. With music accompaniment from Mary Ann Palermo with Rich Hommel & Ryan Hommel.

Sally Lebwohl is a pastel artist from Cambridge and Berkshire County, Massachusetts. She earned a BA in studio art and worked in publications for art galleries in New York City. She has worked with photography, drawing, and painting with watercolor but discovered her strengths working with the rich pigment of soft pastels. Sally has had many gallery shows in the northeast and has won several awards for her portrayal in pastel. She is also a member of various art associations, including the Pastel Society of New Jersey, Connecticut Pastel Society, Pastel Society of Cape Cod, Cambridge Art Association, Berkshire Artist's Guild, and Housatonic Valley Art Association. You can find more information about Sally Lebwohl and her work on her website, https://www.sallylebwohl.com/artist-cv.

Sally Tiska Rice was born and raised in the Berkshires and is a multi-media artist, using acrylic, watercolors, oil paints, pastels, as well as mixed media pieces. Sally's work for this particular show is in watercolor media, and she is inspired by her surroundings in the rural town where she lives. Sally uses spontaneity to compose artwork, but she also creates personal commission paintings, including people, pets, homes, and churches. Sally hand painted stationery for Crane Co. were she was employed for 25 years. Sally's work has won awards nationally and internationally, and she is a member of the Clock Tower Artist's of Pittsfield MA, The Guild of Berkshire Artists, Berkshire Art Association and Becket Arts Center.  You can find more about Sally Tiska Rice’s  artwork on her website, https://sallytiskarice.com. Call to set up an studio appointment at the Clocktower business Center, 75 South Church St., third floor, studio #302, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 413–446–8469. Follow on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Prints of Sally’s work at https://pixels.com/profiles/sally-rice

The Good Purpose Gallery is located in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and it has a sweet coffee shop, "The Starving Artist Creperie & Cafe." There is free parking on the street as well as a parking lot behind the building. The exhibition will be open seven days Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with live music during Sunday brunch. The reception to meet and greet the artists will be on Friday, June 16th, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.

Come and join us at "A Tale of Two Sally's" to experience the beauty and elegance of pastel and watercolor art in the tranquil and serene setting of the Berkshire County.

“Edith”

Thank you for voting for the “Edith” painting in the Fine Art America Billboard Contest and for all the shares on social media. I think that she would have been cheerful on a billboard.  She received 103 votes to make it to the final level out of hundreds of thousands of entries. The verdict is in and she wasn’t one of the twenty chosen for billboards.  She did amazingly well regardless. Original SOLD 🔴
