We’re honored to announce that Sally Tiska Rice will be the featured artist at the Hotel on North, located at 297 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, from July 1 through September 1, 2025. Set in the heart of downtown Pittsfield, this beautifully restored boutique hotel blends 19th-century architecture with sleek, contemporary design—and is the perfect backdrop for Sally’s richly layered, light-filled artwork.

Mark your calendars for a special Meet the Artist afternoon on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the hotel. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Sally in person, explore her creative process, and hear the inspiring stories behind her work. Her paintings draw from deep wells of personal experience, including her journey as a spinal injury survivor—and now, as she bravely faces breast cancer with strength and creativity. Her art is not just visual—it’s emotional, healing, and vibrantly alive.

Sally, a lifelong Berkshire resident, has worked in many mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oils, pastels, and mixed media. Her style blends atmosphere, memory, and light, creating emotionally resonant works that have been commissioned and collected internationally. With a 25-year career at Crane & Co. hand bordering luxury stationery for names like Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and Aretha Franklin, her artistic pedigree is matched only by her passion and perseverance.

Hotel on North—once a legendary 19th-century menswear and sporting goods emporium—is now a cultural gem, with exposed brick, tin ceilings, and creative energy humming through every hallway. It’s more than a place to stay—it’s a celebration of local talent and historic character. I’m excited to share a recent experience I had, thanks to David Carver! He connected me with George O’Brien of BusinessWest, giving me the opportunity to share my appreciation for our incredible artists’ community.

David’s efforts to preserve the history of the Clock Tower Building while making it a bright and welcoming space for artists and multiple other businesses, have truly created something special. It was an honor to talk about what makes our group so unique.

The Clock Tower Artist’s welcome all to come and see the amazing renovations and our new hanging system with gallery walls. Welcoming new artists, we are 13 Artists,  working studio spaces on the 3rd Floor with ample parking and an elevator.

Self Guided Gallery Tours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
